observe what is going on around me, and I notice that everyone is
making tremendous efforts to achieve something or the other. The
businessman wants to build his factory; the scholar wants to write his
book; the student is struggling to complete his exams and get a degree;
and the religious man is busy with yogic practices of meditation,
austerity, self-denial, brahmacharya and so on. Each one, in his own
way, is seeking fulfilment of his own ambition, whether he is a
student, a religious man, or a businessman. One thing common to all of
them is that they are seeking, and they think that when they achieve
their heart's desire they will find happiness at the end of it. From “The pursuit of happiness” – P.Krishna – www.pkrishna.org Prof. P. Krishna is currently in charge of the Krishnamurti study center at the Rajghat Education Center of the Krishnamurti Foundation India in Varanasi, India. He was the Rector of the center and Principal of the Rajghat Besant School from 1986 to 2002. He is a trustee of the Foundation and continues to be involved with its activities. He has written articles and books on various issues relating to the teachings of J.Krishnamurti. He has also delivered lectures on Education, Science and Society to varied audiences. He was a Professor of Physics at the Banaras Hindu University in India and specialized in X-Ray crystallography. He is a Fellow of the Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi, as well as the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore. The program of the meeting is: - daily listening to a talk of J.Krishnamurti - two dialogues, everyday, with P.Krishna. - walks in nature and free time in the early afternoon and evening. The meeting will start with dinner on April 21st and will end with lunch on Sunday 25th. The cost is 290 euro, including a contribution for Krishna’s travel expenses. It includes accommodation in double room and organic vegetarian meals. Casa della Pace is located in central Italy, north of Umbria, nestled in nature. Nearest village is Pietralunga. |
