Awakening of intelligence

THOUGHT AND BEYOND

Thought plays an extraordinary role in our life. Desire, fear, anger, violence, jealousy, ambition, conflict, in fact almost all facets of our consciousness, are based on thought.
Without a deep exploration of 'thought' it is not possible to live a life of 'freedom', 'peace' or 'love'.
Is there an 'intelligence' that the mind can come in contact with that opens the door to the vast expanse of life? For this, thought must be completely quiet, naturally, not through effort, not forced by circumstances.
This retreat will enable the participant to explore "thought and beyond", not only verbally, but also quietly and existentially. In the process we may awaken an intelligence, that can not only free us from the burden of problems but, far more important, enable us to discover the true significance of life.

Rajesh Dalal

Rajesh Dalal graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur as a Chemical Engineer in 1975. However, his primary concern was “human mind and its transformation”. During his college years, he studied at depth, thoughts of leading psychologists, philosophers and educators from the west and also the teachings of Yoga and spiritual traditions like Vedanta, Zen and Sufism. His search for greater depths led him to Shri J.Krishnamurti’s writings in 1971 and an explosive encounter with the man in 1976. Krishnamurti invited Rajesh to join his group of close friends and to travel with him in India. During ten years of these travels, they had intimate, existentially challenging conversations and dialogues on the nature of the self and how it limited the human potential.
Deep spiritual insights and experiences were generated in this process of enquiry and Rajesh endeavours to share these with his audiences as he continues to travel in India and in other parts of the world, giving talks, holding retreats and dialogues. His concern is to explore together a way of life that has honesty, vitality, freshness and depth.
As a trustee of the Krishnamurti Foundation India, Rajesh has held important executive responsibilities for over three decades. He has also been a teacher and has initiated and nurtured a number of innovative educational projects.

During the gathering ample space will be given to dialogue without a strict schedule. All dialogues will be translated from english to italian and vice-versa.
J.Krishnamurti’s talks and dialogues, in English subtitled in Italian, will find an appropriate space to be listened to.
There will be time for silence and for informal, friendly, conversations.
Forest covered hills surround the Centre, offering the chance for beautiful walks. Casa della Pace is located near Pietralunga, 60 km north of Perugia.
The meeting will begin on July31st with dinner and it will finish on August 6th after lunch.The cost for the six days, including full board accomodation and a contribution for Rajesh’s expenses, is 420 euros. Meals are vegetarian and largely organic.
